Maternity: Abby Full Term Twins

So I took these photos of Abby forever ago and just now got around to editing them. It was kind of an experiment, but I really like the way they turned out.
I really like the floral patterns for Abby, she just has such a soft personality.
I think this one is my favorite, has that fairy tale feel with out being to citchy.

This was actually my test shot, trying to check my lighting, but she just looked so beautiful...even though you can't see her belly :)

Searching for the Real: Band Shoot

Did this shoot over the weekend. First time I photographed a band... it was fun. They said they wanted 1970's vintage, nature and candid... so that's what we did. I'm really excited about how they turned out.
This was actually at the end of the day, we went to Denny's after the sun had set.

I am loving this taking pictures as sunset stuff.

We did and Abbey Road steal... for all you young ins... that's a Beatles album.

These were a little on the Christian boy band side, which we were trying to avoid... but at least it's cool Cristian boy band :)

I tried using my Lensbaby, it was super cool, but not good for group photos.

This one came out awesome!

They wanted the focus to be more on nature, and God's creation, and less on them. so we went to the golf course on post... for some reason that seem really funny to me now.

Whenever I think of the 70's I just think of all the old photos I have of my parents... and yes I have a few that look kind of like this.

Okay... Seriously... How cool are these shots? I didn't want to edit them too much, cause I didn't want to ruin them... I LOVE THEM!

It was so beautiful.

And of course jumping... I mean really, who doesn't like to jump?

Grant & Mar October 2010

This was my first outdoor winter shoot. On accident ended up being right at sunset... it was awesome. Mar is from Spain, Grant is from Colorado and they are moving in a few months so they wanted pictures in Alaska.
These were my absolute favorites... the sun was amazing on their faces.

Mar thought Grants face looked funny in this picture, but I think it's cute. It's the "Yup I've got a hot wife and I'm proud of it." face.

I love this photo of Mar... she thinks she looks too serious :)

This ones not so serious.

She just looks absolutely gorgeous in this photo.

The sun was so amazing.

The ones from the woods definitely look more winter in Alaska. We planned the shoot for this day because it was supposed to snow... but it was 40 degrees instead and everything was melting.

And they wanted fun, so we did fun.

This one is a good one for the grandparents.

And this one is just cool :)

Avani 2 Years Old

We took these photos about one week after her second birthday. She was pretty shy about the camera... she had also just woken up from a nap. But it made for some super cute photos.
These two are my favorites.

Her hat was so fun. And the colors of her clothes and the leaves were awesome!

Her mom said these were her favorite shoes :)

She wasn't real interested in the props I had brought, be the color of her carrot worked out even better.

In the end she started to warm up to the camera a little... unfortunately it started getting dark.

We couldn't get any smiles out of her, so as a last ditch effort her mom and dad ran around the yard with her... she loved it.

And what a great smile it is.

The Paul Boys

I actually did this shoot of Gus and Carter in the middle of the summer... I just never got around to posting it.
We only took a few photos with Dad. The rest of the time I just followed the boys around.
At first we tried to take some more serious photos for Mom.

But things got goofy real fast.

Carter is such a ham.

This was probably one of the only semi-serious photos of the two of them together.

They had beautiful light in their living room.

I let Carter pick out where he wanted to stand... he was very concerned about what the background looked like.

Then he wanted to climb a tree... that was fun too. This was one of my favorite shots of the day.

For Gus' part of the shoot he wanted to go into the woods and break down "widow makers"... Dead trees that you can push over with your bare hands, however you have to be careful the top doesn't fall off and hit you in the head.

He also wanted to ride this bike around. Love the colors in the door.

In the end we came inside and they played with Carter's remote control helicopter.
